WORLD HAPPINESS REPORT
The World Happiness Report ranks countries by their happiness levels using global survey data to report on how people evaluate their own lives in more than 150 countries.
Headlines FRom 2024
The happiest countries are in Northern Europe, with Finland topping the list again (7.7 out of 10).
The least happy countries are those struggling with conflict and poverty, with Afghanistan scoring lowest (1.7).
Lithuania tops the happiness list for younger people (under 30), while Denmark is the happiest nation for older people (over 60).
Serbia and Bulgaria saw the biggest increases in happiness, while the USA falls out of the top 20 for the first time.
Levels of kindness have increased from pre-pandemic levels, especially with Millennials and Gen Z.
